The Ponting Foundation is dedicated to doing everything possible to help young Australians and their families beat cancer.
The Foundation provides funding for a wide range of essential services that comfort and nurture young Australians with cancer, as well as funding programs that assist in the care and well-being of families as they support their child through illness.
Biggest Game of Cricket is the Ponting Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. This summer thousands of Australians have fun playing Australia’s favourite game and raising funds to help young Australians and their families beat cancer
Each summer, the Biggest Game of Cricket provides a fun way for all Australians to raise funds for a great cause. BGOC draws on cricket’s mantle as Australia’s most popular sport and lets you make the rules to suit your game! Play on the beach, in the park, on an oval, in a laneway – anywhere you like..
Organisations including Redkite, the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia (CCIA), the David Collins Leukaemia Foundation – Tasmania (DCLFT) and the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) have all benefited from significant Ponting Foundation funding. Current beneficiaries include the Royal Children’s Hospital and Redkite ENA program and support for a series of health and welfare programs across Tasmania
